Confidence, commitment, and courage: The hallmarks of HaUI’s 2025 Queen

At the "Miss & Mister HaUI 2025" contest, organized by the Youth Union and Student Association of Hanoi University of Industry, Đoàn Thị Hương left a deep impression on the audience. Not only did she win the title of Beauty Queen, but she was also honored with the award for Best Response.

When asked by the judging panel, "What role do you believe the young generation should play in elevating Vietnam’s position internationally?" Hương responded with both confidence and grace. Hương responded with poise and eloquence. She emphasized that each generation is born into its own distinct historical context and entrusted with a unique mission. For today’s youth, she stated, that mission is to propel Vietnam to prominence on the world stage, not merely through dreams but through tangible, purposeful actions.

"As a young Party member and a student, I believe our generation must master knowledge, master technology, and master ourselves. Only with real competence can young people reach the global stage. Each step we take should reflect intelligence, courage, and national pride. We must think deeply, act boldly, overcome limits, be willing to take action, and live with responsibility and ideals," Hương shared.

"Young people do not wait for perfect conditions. Instead, we create opportunities to fulfill our aspirations. Along the way, our Vietnamese identity will be the foundation that allows us to integrate without losing ourselves, proudly carrying the image of our country to the world. I believe that with intelligence, resilience, and great ambition, our generation will write the next chapter in Vietnam’s story of rising strong and shining alongside nations around the globe."

Her powerful, articulate answer won the hearts of the judges and the audience. However, the Miss HaUI 2025 crown did not come to Hương by chance. It was the result of a long journey of nurturing her passion and striving to improve herself every single day. She was honored to be admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam at the age of 18, while still a high school student, and had already set clear goals for herself in both academic performance and personal development.

Her articulate answer won the hearts of the judges and the audience. However, the Miss HaUI 2025 crown did not come to Hương by chance. Learning and Growing with Intention

"I don’t have a specific role model, because I believe everyone has their own unique and admirable qualities. What I hope for is to be myself, constantly working to become a better version of who I was yesterday," Hương shared.

With a passion for discovering new lands, meeting people, and exploring diverse cultures and cuisines across Vietnam, Hương chose to major in Tourism at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Tourism, Hanoi University of Industry.

she has actively proven herself through multiple roles: Executive Member of the Faculty’s Youth Union, Deputy Head of the Tourism and Event Club (HG), and Class President of Tourism Class 2, Cohort 16. She has also played an important role in organizing meaningful student community events.

"Participating in Youth Union and student association activities has helped me develop soft skills and grow more holistically. Through these programs and movements, I have become more confident in communication, more dynamic in organization, and more proactive in learning from lecturers, peers, and mentors," Hương said.

In addition to her social engagement, Hương has maintained an impressive academic record with a GPA of 3.43 out of 4. She earned the Encouragement Prize in the university’s Scientific Research Contest for the 2023–2024 academic year, and received both full and partial scholarships in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Huong always exudes a confident and steadfast demeanor

To successfully manage her various responsibilities, Hương shared that she always prepares a detailed weekly plan, manages her time wisely, and, most importantly, stays proactive and clear about her priorities at each stage.

She also makes the most of her learning by staying focused during lectures and noting key points. After class, she organizes the material using diagrams or keywords to aid retention. To her, no subject is too difficult; with effort, persistence, and dedication, any challenge can be overcome.

Hương dreams of becoming a lecturer in English-language tourism. She hopes to inspire and share her knowledge with future generations of students. To pursue that goal seriously, she continues to improve her expertise and teaching skills with great determination.
