With the educational philosophy of "Comprehensive education for sustainable development and integration," Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) consistently strives to foster an advanced, globally integrated academic environment. The university emphasizes equipping students with a solid foundation of professional knowledge as the cornerstone of their future careers, while simultaneously developing essential soft skills to promote holistic personal growth. This approach empowers students to succeed in their careers and contribute meaningfully to the community and society, thereby laying a solid foundation for the future.
Student Skills Development Workshops 2025
The series of Student Skills Development Workshops 2025, held from May 17–18, 2025, for thousands of undergraduate students of Cohort 19 and college students of Cohort 26 at Hanoi and Ha Nam campuses, provided participants with critical skills to enhance adaptability in the ever-evolving digital era and modern labor market. The workshop encouraged students to take ownership of their future and pursue sustainable and successful personal development.
The workshop created a vibrant space full of inspirational stories and in-depth sharing from experienced speakers. These sessions helped students better understand the value of self-discipline and personal growth
The Power of Empathy and the Journey of Self-Liberation
Dr. Nguyễn Thu Lệ Hằng (University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) led students on a journey of self-exploration and human connection. With her engaging demeanor, she encouraged students to develop self-awareness and self-love, fostering greater empathy and understanding toward others.
Her message was brought to life through heartfelt and human-centered stories, such as Dr. Hà Vĩnh Thọ’s impactful humanitarian work with the Eurasia Foundation, and her thoughtful reflection on swimmer Ánh Viên’s extraordinary efforts and achievements.
Additionally, Dr. Hằng provided practical tools for future planning from identifying one's "reason for being" using the Ikigai model, to understanding the hierarchy of human needs through Maslow’s pyramid, and managing personal finances effectively. These tools served to ignite a sense of purpose and enthusiasm in students, urging them to seize the “golden period” of university life to shape a well-rounded and meaningful development journey.
Mastering Mindsets, Shaping Lives, and the Value of Gratitude
Through thought-provoking parables and engaging experiential activities, Dr. Đỗ Thái Đăng, Director of Talent Education Vietnam, truly inspired students to master their mindsets and take control of their lives. He painted vivid images such as a sinking island where only love and knowledge remain eternal and drew powerful lessons from the rapid rise of Xanh SM, highlighting a fearless spirit of innovation and continuous learning. These stories sparked profound reflections on true values and the path to success.
Dr. Đăng emphasized the importance of taking full responsibility for one’s journey and maintaining unwavering perseverance in pursuing goals. His message was not merely theoretical: a challenging experiential activity involving arranging chairs served as a real-life “laboratory,” allowing students to directly feel and learn about the power of creative thinking, the courage to confront failure, and the significance of overcoming personal limits.
Dr. Đỗ Thái Đăng concluded his session on a contemplative note with a story about 'Learning to Be Human,' reminding everyone of the fundamental value of gratitude, the source of true happiness and lasting success
