Hanoi University of Industry launches donation campaign to support communities Affected by storms and flooding
On the afternoon of October 6, Hanoi University of Industry initiated a donation drive to provide support for communities severely impacted by recent storms and flooding. The campaign was organized by the University’s Trade Union and reflects the spirit of compassion, solidarity, and shared responsibility that lies at the heart of Vietnamese cultural values.
The initiative represents a meaningful expression of social responsibility and humanitarian commitment by the University, as faculty members, staff, and employees come together to support those facing hardship caused by natural disasters.
At the event, Mr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry and Chairman of the University Trade Union, highlighted the serious consequences of Storm No. 10, also known as Bualoi. He noted that the storm had caused widespread destruction and significant losses in many localities. On behalf of the Trade Union, he called on the University community to demonstrate unity and civic responsibility by providing timely assistance and standing in solidarity with affected residents.

Motivated by the long standing tradition of mutual care and collective support, the Trade Union encouraged all University personnel to contribute and help disaster affected families overcome difficulties and restore stability in their daily lives.










HaUI’s leadership and units joined hands to raise donations in support of communities affected by storms and flooding
In recent days, Storm No. 10 swept across Viet Nam, causing widespread destruction in numerous provinces and cities. The storm resulted in substantial human casualties, extensive injuries, and severe damage to homes, schools, agricultural production areas, and essential infrastructure. Initial assessments indicate that the total economic losses in the affected localities are estimated at approximately VND 11 trillion.
After the fundraising initiative was launched, all contributions will be transferred to the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front. The funds will be centrally coordinated and disbursed in a timely, transparent, and effective manner to support affected communities in overcoming the consequences of the disaster and restoring stability to their daily lives.
