HaUI and Bach Mai Hospital strengthen cooperation in digital transformation and governance innovation

As digital transformation continues to reshape modern governance, both higher education institutions and healthcare organizations are facing increasing demands for innovation in management models, operational systems, and data-driven administration. In this context, a delegation from Bach Mai Hospital visited Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) to exchange expertise in developing digital governance models, operating smart university systems, and exploring future cooperation opportunities.

The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Dao Vu, Head of the Bach Mai Hospital delegation; Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry; along with representatives from specialized departments of both institutions.

During the working session, HaUI introduced its digital university governance model, featuring an integrated digital ecosystem in which data is seamlessly connected across admissions, academic affairs, examinations, and quality assurance. The system has been developed with a focus on integration, transparency, and automation, contributing to enhanced operational efficiency and laying the foundation for a smart university model amid the rapid digitalization of higher education.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien emphasized that digital transformation is not simply about applying technology or deploying management software, but more importantly about transforming operational thinking and governance approaches. In this model, data serves as the core element connecting all activities related to teaching, assessment, evaluation, and quality assurance, thereby supporting a more synchronized, transparent, flexible, and efficient university management system.

Commending HaUI’s remarkable progress in digital transformation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Dao Vu shared that the delegation was especially impressed by the University’s well-integrated operational framework and its ability to deploy digital transformation initiatives on a university-wide scale. He noted that the governance models and digital platforms implemented at HaUI provide valuable practical insights, particularly as both higher education institutions and healthcare organizations are actively pursuing innovation in management and operational systems. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Dao Vu also shared Bach Mai Hospital’s vision for developing a “hospital–university” model in the coming years, while expressing his expectation that the two institutions would further expand cooperation and strengthen professional connections in governance, training, and digital transformation.

The working session also laid a strong foundation for future cooperation between HaUI and Bach Mai Hospital, particularly in the areas of governance, professional training, digital transformation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. As both institutions continue to pursue modernization and innovation, the partnership is expected to create new opportunities for knowledge sharing, capacity building, and the development of sustainable management models that contribute to higher-quality education and healthcare services in the future.
