Strategic cooperation agreement signed between Hanoi University of Industry and Viet Tri University of Industry
On June 26, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) and Viet Tri University of Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant step toward fostering comprehensive collaboration in education, research, and innovation.

At the working session, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, Rector of Hanoi University of Industry introduced HaUI’s proud tradition, strategic development orientation, and vision to become a leading applied research university in Vietnam. With a strong academic foundation, HaUI has made important contributions to the nation’s socio-economic development by providing high-quality human resources.
Alongside the traditional strengths in mechanical and automotive engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, automation, and information technology, HaUI has affirmed its position in other academic areas such as economics, business administration, foreign languages, and fashion design. The university boasts modern facilities, a highly qualified faculty, and a development strategy closely aligned with industry. It is also making strong progress in digital transformation, governance reform, and the construction of a smart university model, key elements driving HaUI’s integration and sustainable development.

Dr. Vu Duc Binh, Rector of Viet Tri University of Industry, , expressed his delight in establishing a cooperative relationship with HaUI, noting the many similarities in their missions and development orientations. He emphasized the potential for comprehensive collaboration in academic program development, research quality enhancement, and faculty development, especially in priority disciplines aligned with each institution’s strengths. According to Dr. Binh, the partnership would open space for mutual learning, resource sharing, and sustainable institutional growth.

With the objective of strengthening collaboration and promoting institutional development, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) encompassing a broad scope of cooperation across key areas, including governance, administration, education, and scientific research. The MoU particularly emphasizes the advancement of joint initiatives in academic training, innovation, technology transfer, and quality assurance in higher education.
The two parties officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a framework for long-term cooperation and laying the foundation for comprehensive partnership across multiple areas of mutual interest.
According to the signed MoU, the two universities agreed to collaborate across various areas, including:
- Human Resource Development: Joint development and implementation of undergraduate and postgraduate programs; training and professional development for staff and lecturers; and collaborative use of expert networks from both sides.
- Science and Technology: Collaborative research activities; academic exchange and co-publication of scientific works at national and international levels; joint implementation of research projects; and organization of conferences and academic seminars.
- International Cooperation: Information sharing on international partnerships; leveraging each institution’s international strengths to expand global cooperation.
- Facilities and Equipment Sharing: Joint use of physical infrastructure and specialized equipment to support training and research activities.
- Academic and Student Exchange: Exchange of faculty members, researchers, and students to foster mutual understanding, professional development, and academic enrichment.
