Expanding opportunities for HaUI students in the German labour market

On February 5, 2026, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), welcomed representatives of Three Oaks Education JSC and held a working session to discuss cooperation in training and supplying high-quality human resources to the European market, particularly Germany.

During the meeting, HaUI’s leadership shared insights into the University’s academic strengths and training capacity. With 128 years of development, HaUI has established itself as a leading institution in Vietnam, especially recognized for its effective university–industry collaboration model. The University maintains partnerships with thousands of international organizations and has been a strategic partner of major global corporations and institutions such as JICA (Japan), Foxconn, Samsung, LG, Nissan, as well as technology projects in cooperation with partners from Germany. These partnerships reflect HaUI’s strong commitment to aligning education with real industry demands and global standards.

Overview of the meeting

Representatives from the German side expressed their appreciation for the quality and potential of HaUI students, particularly highlighting their technical competence, intelligence, and strong work ethic. In the context of Germany’s serious shortage of skilled labor, especially in technical and system operation roles, German partners conveyed their desire to recruit HaUI graduates for positions in engineering, logistics, and automated warehouse system operations. They emphasized that these roles require personnel with qualifications equivalent to an engineering level to effectively operate and manage modern, technology-driven systems.

Both sides discussed concrete plans for future cooperation, including internship programs lasting 8 to 12 months in Germany for final-year students majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electronics, Logistics, and Languages. These internships aim to provide students with first-hand professional experience in an international working environment. Three Oaks Education and its German partners are also committed to accompanying HaUI in career orientation, German language training with a target of B1/B2 proficiency, and support for international degree recognition and related administrative procedures. In addition, HaUI students working in Germany will benefit from competitive welfare packages, including full employment rights, insurance coverage, and salaries equivalent to those of local employees.
