Run for Student 2026: Where sporting spirit meets the power of giving
More than 100 participants took part in the 2026 “Run for Student” event organised by the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) on the morning of October 11. Held at HaUI’s Campus 3 in Phu Van Ward, Ninh Binh Province, the event promoted physical fitness and community engagement while mobilising support for students facing financial hardship. A highlight of the programme was the award of 12 scholarships, each worth VND 4 million, to students overcoming financial difficulties to pursue their studies.

“Run for Student 2026" organised by HaUI’s School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering exemplifies how a modern higher education institution can integrate physical well-being with social responsibility.
The 4th annual “Run for Student” charity race marked the fourth time the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering had organised the initiative, attracting participation from HaUI’s staff, alumni, and corporate partners, all united by a shared commitment to student support and community engagement.

According to the Organising Committee, the race was organised to promote physical well-being, encourage regular exercise and reinforce solidarity across the HaUI community. The event also provided an opportunity to strengthen ties between the University, its alumni and corporate partners, fostering meaningful connections across generations and reaffirming their shared commitment to HaUI’s continued development.
Participants competed in four race categories of 1.5 km, 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km along routes around Campus 3. More than a sporting event, the race brought together university staff, employees and alumni in a shared expression of community spirit and mutual support. Their participation also conveyed a message of encouragement to current students, while the presence of HaUI’s leadership highlighted the University’s continued attention to the well-being of its members and the development of a connected, engaged university community.
The programme also recognised 12 outstanding students from disadvantaged backgrounds who had demonstrated determination and strong academic performance, with financial assistance provided by the Organising Committee and sponsors. Speaking on behalf of the recipients, Nguyen Do Hoang Phuc, a student in the 21st cohort of the Renewable Energy Engineering programme, expressed his sincere gratitude for the support. He noted that the assistance represented both practical financial relief and meaningful encouragement from the University and its corporate partners, strengthening the students’ determination to pursue their studies and achieve their academic goals.

HaUI’s Development Strategy for 2026–2030, with a vision to 2035, prioritises the promotion of integrity, social responsibility and targeted support for disadvantaged and underrepresented learner groups. The strategy underscores the University’s role in addressing societal challenges, strengthening community engagement and making meaningful contributions to society. HaUI also aims to deepen partnerships with its alumni network and the business community to mobilise social resources for scholarships and educational support programmes.
