Hanoi University of Industry welcomes Academy of Security Engineering and Technology for exchange and collaboration
On the morning of November 28, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Thiện, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), presided over the reception and meeting with a delegation from the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology, led by Major General Dr. Lê Minh Thảo, Director of the Academy.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Thiện, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), introduced the university’s 127-year history, strategic objectives, and an overview of HaUI. With three modern campuses covering more than 50 hectares, a comprehensive system of classrooms, laboratories, research centers, and advanced practical training facilities, Hanoi University of Industry currently offers multi-disciplinary programs, including 11 doctoral programs, 14 master’s programs, and over 60 undergraduate programs. Serving more than 35,000 students annually, the university provides tens of thousands of highly qualified engineers, bachelors, masters, and doctoral graduates to meet the demands of both domestic and international labor markets.

Dr. Nguyễn Văn Thiện, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, highlighted that the university, in its ongoing development, aspires to become a leading innovative institution, meeting international standards in key disciplines while remaining committed to its mission of training highly skilled professionals to support the country’s industrialization and modernization.
Expressing his appreciation for the university’s warm reception, Major General Dr. Lê Minh Thảo, Director of the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology, extended his congratulations to HaUI’s leadership, faculty, and staff on the recent government decision, endorsed by the Deputy Prime Minister, to elevate the institution to the status of Hanoi University of Industry

Major General Dr. Lê Minh Thảo, Director of the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology, highlighted that over the past 40 years, the institution has evolved from the Intermediate School of Technical Operations of the People’s Public Security (CAND) to the University of Technical Logistics of CAND, and is now the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology. He emphasized that during this time, the Academy has trained tens of thousands of technically skilled officers with strong political integrity and high professional competence, who continue to serve and contribute diligently across police units and localities nationwide.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged experiences and discussed six key topics:
1. Digital University Model: The application of digital technology in management, teaching, evaluation, quality assurance, and research and innovation; digital infrastructure and information security in higher education institutions.
2. University Governance and Development Strategy: Governance models and development strategies aligned with national, regional, and international standards; experiences in university ranking and enhancing global academic reputation; strategies for developing streamlined, smart, and internationally-oriented universities.
3. International Standardized Curriculum Development: Designing programs according to international standards, focusing on strategic fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Semiconductor Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications, UAV, and Cybersecurity; experiences in training organization, setting learning outcomes, nurturing outstanding students, and student exchange programs.
4. Research Promotion and Innovation Centers: Experiences in promoting research and publishing internationally; models for innovation centers and key laboratories; collaboration and technology transfer experiences.
5. Facilities, Investment, and Equipment: Development and investment in facilities and laboratories according to regional and international standards; standardization of equipment to support training, research, and high-tech simulation.
6. Collaboration Mechanisms, Industry Linkages, and Human Resource Development: Models for school-industry collaboration and collaboration between universities and employers; policies for attracting and developing talents, especially scientific staff; coordination mechanisms in training, research, and product transfer aligned with practical needs.



Representatives of the leadership and specialized departments at Hanoi University of Industry shared experiences and exchanged insights on topics such as science and technology, digital transformation, academic programs, and information technology.





The delegation from the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology explored the facilities of the School of Information and Communication Technology and the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and visited the Information Technology Center.



The leadership of both universities expressed their desire to further strengthen cooperation and share experiences, with a shared goal of innovating governance, enhancing the quality of education, and developing highly skilled human resources to meet the demands of the digital transformation era and international integration.
