HaUI skills competition 2026: Marked by outstanding perfect scores
On the afternoon of March 27, the Vietnam–Japan Center at Hanoi University of Industry held the closing ceremony of the “Excellent Students in Vocational Skills 2026” competition, concluding a dynamic and impactful event.
A notable highlight of this year’s competition was the achievement of two contestants who earned perfect scores of 100 out of 100. In addition, the confident participation of 15 first-year college students (K27 cohort), who had just entered their second semester, reflected a strong spirit of initiative and commitment to skill development among students.

Dr. Vu Van Duy, Acting Director of the Vietnam–Japan Center, delivered the closing remarks
In his closing remarks, Dr. Vu Van Duy, Acting Deputy Director of the Vietnam–Japan Center and Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized that the competition is an annual activity of great practical significance, contributing to the promotion of learning, scientific research, and vocational skill development among students.
The competition took place over five days, from March 20 to 24, attracting 58 contestants from youth union branches under the Vietnam–Japan Center. Participants competed in six skill categories, including electrical installation, conventional turning, conventional milling, electronic circuit design, mold component manufacturing, and arc welding.
In terms of professional quality, the Organizing Committee noted that most contestants demonstrated a solid theoretical foundation, strong practical skills, creativity, and strict adherence to safety procedures. The competition entries were technically demanding, diverse in presentation, and highly practical.
The competition concluded with the awarding of 6 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 12 third prizes, and 18 consolation prizes to the most outstanding participants. Particularly noteworthy was the achievement of two contestants who earned perfect scores in the electronic circuit design category, underscoring the high level of technical proficiency and training quality in this field.
Beyond its role as a competitive platform, the event constituted a valuable academic environment in which students were able to demonstrate their competencies, further develop their practical expertise, and enhance their professional readiness. Such experiences contribute meaningfully to equipping participants with the capabilities required to respond to the evolving demands of the labor market and to pursue sustained career development in an increasingly dynamic and globally integrated context.
