HaUI Mechanics Olympiad 2026: Fostering Knowledge, Skills, and Engineering Excellence
On the morning of March 22, 2026, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) hosted the opening ceremony of HaUI Mechanics Olympiad 2026, attracting nearly 100 students eager to put their knowledge and skills to the test. As one of HaUI’s annual academic events, the Olympiad provides an advanced platform for cultivating students’ technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and innovative thinking.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung, Principal of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering at HaUI, delivered the opening speech.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung, Principal of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering highlighted that HaUI is steadily advancing its educational and research programs, with foundational fields such as mechanics remaining essential to in-depth engineering and technological training. Looking ahead to 2030, with the aim of ranking among the top 400–500 universities in Asia, participating in competitions like the Mechanics Olympiad not only presents a professional challenge but also offers students valuable opportunities to develop creativity, research skills, and academic resilience.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Tien, Head of the Competition Secretariat, presented the rules and regulations of the contest
The Olympiad 2026 encompasses six disciplines: Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Machine Principles, Machine Components, Hydraulics, and Computer Applications in Mechanical Design. The examination content is carefully aligned with the academic curriculum, while placing strong emphasis on practical application, requiring students to demonstrate a deep understanding of fundamental concepts and the ability to address complex technical problems with analytical skill and creativity.

Pham Thu Ha, a student of the Mechatronics Class K17, delivered a speech at the opening of the competition.
Pham Thu Ha, a representative from the Mechatronics Class K17, remarked: Participating in the Mechanics Olympiad provides a valuable opportunity to test our knowledge, sharpen our analytical thinking, and prepare for more advanced competitions. With dedication and responsibility, we are committed to giving our best, fully adhering to the rules, and striving for excellent results

Tran Tuan Anh, from the Automotive Engineering class, added that the Olympiad challenges students with advanced problems while offering tangible benefits for their academic progress, as outstanding results may be recognized for course credits. This combination of challenge and reward further motivates participants to prepare thoroughly.
HaUI Mechanics Olympiad 2026 also functions as a selection platform for forming HaUI’s team for the National Mechanics Olympiad. In the national competition 2025, HaUI students earned one individual first prize, one team second prize, and 25 additional individual awards, further demonstrating their academic excellence and technical capabilities on the national stage.
HaUI Mechanics Olympiad 2026 serves as both a test of students’ knowledge and a platform for developing analytical thinking, practical skills, and academic resilience, reflecting their growth and potential in the field of engineering.
