One of the defining moments of DCN-SEEE-01’s journey came in the quarterfinals, where the team faced an opponent that had remained unbeaten since the start of the competition, recording six consecutive victories. Undeterred by the challenge, HaUI representatives delivered a remarkable performance, defeating one of the strongest contenders and producing one of the most memorable upsets of Robocon Vietnam 2026.
Robocon Vietnam 2026 attracted 36 teams from universities and colleges nationwide under the theme “Kungfu Quest.” Designed as a technologically demanding challenge, the contest transformed the competition arena into a martial arts training ground where robots were tasked with collecting and assembling weapons, navigating through a simulated bamboo forest to obtain martial arts manuals, and accurately placing them on a tic-tac-toe board positioned two meters above the ground. The competition required participants to integrate advanced mechanical design, intelligent control systems, automation technologies, and strategic programming.
Throughout the matches, DCN-SEEE-01 established a distinctive identity with its composed and calculated approach. Prioritizing precision and efficiency over aggressive play, the team consistently demonstrated strong tactical awareness and effective execution in every match. The team’s resilience was particularly evident during the knockout rounds. In a tense encounter against UNETI 01, the HaUI representatives capitalized on crucial opportunities to complete strategic scoring lines and secure a decisive victory. Their momentum continued into the quarterfinals, where close coordination between the manually operated robot and the autonomous robot enabled the team to execute an effective defensive strategy. This pivotal maneuver helped DCN-SEEE-01 defeat the highly rated team from Lac Hong University with a convincing score of 160 points.
Although the team’s journey came to an end in the semifinals following a narrow defeat to SKH-AST, their performance remained one of the highlights of the competition. A small tactical misjudgment during a defensive play ultimately proved costly, denying the team a place in the final. Nevertheless, the HaUI students earned widespread recognition for their determination, professionalism, and technical capability. Beyond the competition results, the performance of DCN-SEEE-01 demonstrated the students’ strong command of intelligent control technologies, computer vision, and automation systems. The ability of their robots to navigate complex obstacles and execute tasks with consistency and accuracy reflected both rigorous preparation and a high level of engineering competence.
As Robocon Vietnam 2026 concludes, the knowledge, experience, and practical solutions developed throughout the competition will serve as valuable assets for the students in their future academic and professional pursuits. The achievement of DCN-SEEE-01 not only inspires a spirit of innovation among young engineers but also further reinforces the reputation of Hanoi University of Industry as a leading institution for engineering and technology education, dedicated to training highly qualified human resources for the digital era.
