On May 31, 2026, DCN-SEEE-01, a robotics team from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), delivered an impressive performance at the Final Round of Robocon Vietnam 2026, securing Third Prize and earning a place among the nation’s top three teams following a series of fiercely contested matches.

As digital transformation continues to reshape modern governance, both higher education institutions and healthcare organizations are facing increasing demands for innovation in management models, operational systems, and data-driven administration. In this context, a delegation from Bach Mai Hospital visited Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) to exchange expertise in developing digital governance models, operating smart university systems, and exploring future cooperation opportunities.

On April 19, 2026, surpassing hundreds of projects nationwide, a student team from Hanoi University of Industry advanced to the final round of the 8th National Startup Day for Students (SV.STARTUP 2026). Their project, HAutoML, was awarded a Consolation Prize at the national level, recognizing sustained research efforts and reflecting the University’s strategic orientation toward science, technology, and innovation driven development.

On the morning of January 6, 2026, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish 01 Strong Research Group and 11 Potential Research Groups. This event marks a pivotal shift in the University’s strategy for science, technology, and innovation, realizing the goals for the 2026–2030 period: transitioning to a group-based research model, increasing high-quality international publications, and accelerating technology transfer.

On the afternoon of December 10, 2025, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) hosted a solemn ceremony to announce the Decision to confer the title of Associate Professor upon 11 distinguished educators and scientists of the University. This event was particularly momentous, occurring immediately after the University officially transitioned its operating model to the “Hanoi University of Industry” system by the Prime Minister's decision , further highlighting the high caliber of its faculty and the growing stature of an institution rapidly ascending to a major university system.

Hundreds of students from eight high schools and students from five universities gathered at the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry, to visit the facilities and participate in the "Mini Robot Innovation" competition. This event was not only an extracurricular activity but also a valuable career-orientation experience, allowing high school and university students to get closer to the university’s modern engineering training environment and its strengths in robotics and automation.

In the context of global higher education undergoing fundamental shifts in roles and missions, on the morning of November 26, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) organized the seminar “Admissions, Education, Science & Technology, and Innovation for the 2035 horizon.”

Nearly 200 papers authored by 647 researchers from 13 countries marked the 6th International Conference on Research in Management and Technological Innovation (ICRMAT 2025), held on November 7. The conference was jointly organized by Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), Electric Power University (EPU), and Stanley College of Engineering and Technology (India), bringing together leading scholars in management and technology from around the world. The event aimed to promote academic collaboration, foster knowledge exchange, and establish a prestigious international platform for research and innovation.
