The Voice HaUI 2025: Fostering creativity and cultural values through music

On the evening of June 10, 2025, the grand finale of The Voice HaUI 2025 illuminated the stage of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), delivering an emotionally resonant musical experience. More than a competition, the event embodied the University’s educational philosophy of “Comprehensive education for sustainable development and global integration”, serving as a dynamic platform for students to cultivate character, intellect, and artistic sensibility.

The event was honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hong Quan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, and Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University, who attended and congratulated the student performers.

The Voice HaUI is a prestigious annual music competition that attracts wide participation from across the University’s Schools, Faculties, and Centers. This year’s finale brought together 15 exceptional finalists, who emerged from a highly competitive field of hundreds of contestants during the preliminary (May 21-24) and semi-final (May 29-30) rounds. Throughout the evening, the audience was treated to a diverse array of meticulously prepared performances, ranging from stirring revolutionary anthems and heartfelt folk ballads to dynamic contemporary pop renditions. Each performance reflected exceptional vocal talent, artistic creativity, and polished stagecraft.

At HaUI, extracurricular activities and artistic platforms are recognized as an essential component of holistic education. Events such as The Voice HaUI foster creativity, build self-confidence, and provide students with opportunities to hone their expressive abilities through music and the arts. Participating in the program - from initial registration and rehearsal to performing on a professional stage - enables students to develop vital life skills, including teamwork, time management, and public presentation.

In addition to celebrating musical excellence, the program contributes to instilling in students a deep appreciation for Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage. The event fosters a sense of pride and connection to national cultural values through songs honoring the homeland, teachers, and friendships. In this way, The Voice HaUI aligns with and reinforces the University’s strategic focus on sustainable, comprehensive education and cultural enrichment.

To ensure the success of this year’s event, the University provided extensive support to participants, ranging from financial assistance for costumes and professional makeup to organizing dedicated rehearsals with a live professional band.
