Hanoi University of Industry and four universities under the Ministry of Industry and Trade donate VND 2 billion to support flood-affected communities
On October 16, Hanoi University of Industry joined four other universities under the Ministry of Industry and Trade in a collective initiative to support communities severely affected by recent flooding. Through this joint effort, a total of VND 2 billion was donated to assist recovery and relief activities, with Hanoi University of Industry contributing VND 400 million.
The donation was formally presented to the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front. Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, emphasized that the contribution reflects the shared sense of responsibility and solidarity of staff and employees across the five universities. Beyond its material value, the donation represents a collective commitment to stand alongside the Party, the State, and society in supporting affected communities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and return to normal life.

The five participating universities include Hanoi University of Industry; Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry; Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry; the University of Economics and Technology for Industries; and Electric Power University.Together, these institutions swiftly mobilized financial and human resources in response to the call of the Party, the State, and the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, demonstrating a strong spirit of solidarity, social responsibility, and shared commitment to supporting affected communities in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and restoring stability to their lives.

Receiving the contribution, Mr. Do Van Chien, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and President of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, expressed his sincere appreciation for the timely and meaningful support from the universities. He noted that in recent days, the Party and the State have allocated substantial funding to provinces affected by consecutive storms and flooding, while also encouraging contributions from organizations and individuals nationwide.

Mr. Do Van Chien affirmed that all donated funds would be distributed in a timely, transparent, and closely monitored manner to support households in rebuilding homes, restoring livelihoods, and stabilizing their lives. He also expressed his hope that universities under the Ministry of Industry and Trade would continue to care for the well being of staff and students, while actively engaging in social responsibility initiatives that contribute to national recovery and sustainable development.
