HaUI strengthens quality assurance through the external evaluation of 10 academic programs
In the context of higher education integration, ensuring and enhancing training quality is identified as a strategic mission and a key factor for the sustainable development of educational institutions. At Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), quality accreditation is consistently regarded as an annual activity that serves as a guiding principle for all innovation efforts. The recent external assessment of 10 academic programs is clear evidence of the university's spirit of responsibility and relentless dedication to this mission.

In his opening address, Mr. Kieu Xuan Thuc underscored HaUI's prominent position in Vietnam's educational landscape, a status built on its achievements in quality assurance. He emphasized that this commitment is now a core institutional value, evidenced by the successful assessment of 53 out of 57 academic programs, including five with prestigious international ABET accreditation.
The meticulous assessment of 10 academic programs, conducted from October 6th to 9th by the VNU-HCM Center for Education Accreditation, culminated in the External Team's high praise for HaUI's outstanding strengths, which they noted as hallmarks of an advanced university governance mindset.

The assessment team expressed high praise for the "industrial professionalism" that defines the academic programs' design and operation. They were particularly impressed by a well-defined and transparent system of procedures, which provides a solid foundation for quality control. The university's internal quality assurance system was recognized for its robust integration of the PDCA cycle, an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) philosophy, and alignment with global standards like CDIO and ABET. Moreover, the experts specifically applauded the core faculty and staff for their skillful and practical implementation of the OBE framework.

Furthermore, the student examination and assessment process was noted as being rigorous, scientific, and transparent, demonstrating respect for learners. HaUI has shown strategic, synchronized, and modern investment in its facilities, especially in the development of the E-University system. This factor not only creates an ideal academic and working environment but also shapes HaUI's unique identity within the higher education system.

At the closing session, the representative of the External Assessment Team presented constructive recommendations to guide the future development of the programs. On behalf of HaUI, Mr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector, respectfully accepted the feedback and pledged to continue mobilizing resources, persistently improving, and seriously implementing the recommendations. The Vice-Rector affirmed that HaUI always views quality accreditation as an opportunity for refinement, aiming to supply a high-quality workforce for the labor market.
