HaUI Youth Congress sets strategic directions for the 2025–2027 term
On the afternoon of October 14, the 11th Congress of Delegates of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi University of Industry for the 2025–2027 term was convened, bringing together 104 outstanding delegates representing the intellect, aspirations, and pioneering spirit of nearly 40,000 youth union members and students across the University.
The Congress reviewed the dynamic and impactful activities of the previous period, unanimously approved an adjustment to the Union’s term of office, and set forth strategic orientations and breakthrough directions for the new development phase, in alignment with the major policies of the Party, the State, and the University.

The report on Youth Union activities and youth movements for the 2024–2025 period highlighted comprehensive achievements marked by innovation, creativity, and broad social impact. Guided by the spirit of resilience, creativity, integration, and development, the Youth Union has undergone significant transformation, particularly through the promotion of digital transformation in management, communication, and organizational activities.
A range of meaningful programs left a strong imprint, including the seminar “Students and the Fatherland’s Seas and Islands,” the thematic series “Party Ideals Connecting Youth Strength,” the “HaUI Talented and Elegant Students 2025” contest, and the “Rainbow of Compassion” blood donation festival, which collected nearly 1,000 units of blood. Volunteer campaigns such as “Green Summer” and “Warm Winter for Highland Communities” further spread the values of responsibility, compassion, and service to the community.
The report also candidly acknowledged existing limitations, particularly in specialized personnel and the uneven effectiveness of activities across different campuses, providing a practical basis for targeted solutions in the coming term.

Mr. Le Hong Quan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, commended the Youth Union for its achievements and emphasized that the adjustment of the Union’s term was both necessary and timely to ensure consistency with the terms of the Party and other socio political organizations, especially in the context of deep international integration and profound changes in the education sector.

Mr. Le Hong Quan outlined six key orientations for the Youth Union in the new period, including proactively understanding students’ ideological developments in the face of misinformation, strengthening political education linked to contemporary issues such as digital transformation and artificial intelligence, enhancing the use of digital platforms in communication, and continuing to build a contingent of Youth Union officials with strong character, competence, and aspirations for contribution. Special emphasis was placed on planning and nurturing young cadres as a vital source of succession for the University’s political and governance system.

The Congress unanimously approved the adjustment of the Youth Union’s term from 2024–2027 to 2025–2027 in line with the overall roadmap. Delegates elected a delegation to attend the 17th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi City for the 2025–2030 term, comprising three official delegates and one alternate.
The Congress also adopted the Resolution of the 11th HaUI Youth Union Congress for the 2025–2027 term, setting the overarching objective of building a generation of young people with integrity, intellectual excellence, and great aspirations, equipped with knowledge, skills, and mastery of modern technology. Key targets include introducing at least 600 outstanding youth members to Party awareness programs, recommending 300 members for Party admission consideration, implementing 162 youth projects and initiatives annually, and promoting scientific research, innovation, and entrepreneurship among students.
The 11th Congress marked the beginning of a new development stage for HaUI’s youth, laying a solid foundation for them to continue fulfilling their pioneering role with intelligence, dedication, and aspiration, and to make meaningful contributions to the development of Hanoi University of Industry as a modern, integrated, and sustainably growing institution.
