HaUI announces management appointments and personnel changes

On the afternoon of October 5, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) announced decisions regarding the transfer and appointment of five senior administrative officials across the functional departments and member schools. The appointments officially took effect on October 1, 2026.

HaUI’s leadership presents appointment decisions and congratulates the five officials on their new roles

The four reassignments and one appointment are as follows:

- Mr. Dang Trong Hop, Rector of the School of Information and Communication Technology, was reassigned to serve as Head of the Department of Academic Affairs.

- Mr. Hoang Ngoc Tue, Rector of the School of Languages and Tourism, was reassigned to serve as Head of the Department of External Affairs.

- Mr. Tran Ngoc Duc, Deputy Head of the Department of Quality Assurance and Internal Control, was reassigned to serve as Vice Rector in charge of the School of Languages and Tourism.

- Mr. Than Thanh Son, Head of the Department of Academic Affairs, was reassigned to serve as Head of the Department of Quality Assurance and Internal Control.

- Mr. Hoang Tien Dat was appointed Deputy Head of the Department of External Relations.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Hanoi University of Industry, emphasised the importance of personnel arrangements in meeting the university’s evolving governance requirements and advancing its strategic development. He stressed that placing the right people in the right positions was essential to effective governance and the implementation of HaUI’s development strategy through 2030, with a vision to 2035. He underscored that personnel affairs are a key priority and a decisive factor in achieving the university’s strategic objectives.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc called on the newly appointed officials to remain firmly committed to the resolutions of the university’s Party Congress and the strategic goals of innovation and development. He highlighted the need to capitalise on favourable institutional conditions, strengthen unity and collective commitment, and build on HaUI’s proud heritage and established foundations. By turning challenges into opportunities and sources of motivation, the university’s management team can work together to advance HaUI’s development and elevate its standing.
