HaUI hosts ATC 2025, advancing the future of communication technologies
From October 16 to 18, 2025, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) proudly hosted the International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2025) in Hanoi.

Co-organized with the Radio & Electronics Association of Vietnam (REV), the event brought together hundreds of leading scientists, experts, and policymakers from 19 countries to share pioneering ideas and breakthrough research shaping the global communication landscape.
A Platform for scientific exchange and digital transformation
In his opening address, Dr. Tran Duc Lai, President of REV, highlighted ATC 2025 as a key forum for promoting science and technology cooperation in the era of Vietnam’s comprehensive digital transformation. He emphasized the conference’s alignment with national strategies for innovation-driven and sustainable growth.
Representing the Ministry of Science and Technology, Mr. Tran Minh Tuan, Director General of the Department of Digital Economy and Digital Society, outlined Vietnam’s strategic priorities-advancing AI, semiconductors, IoT, Big Data, and Cybersecurity - to build a sustainable digital economy and achieve the country’s Net Zero goal.
HaUI’s vision for innovation and partnership

Welcoming international delegates, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, Rector of HaUI, affirmed the university’s commitment to innovation in engineering, technology, and applied sciences. He described ATC 2025 as “a place where ideas converge, partnerships are formed, and global collaboration begins,” encouraging all participants to transform research insights into real-world applications that serve a sustainable future.
Highlights and research contributions
The plenary session featured keynote lectures by Prof. Reinhold Haeb-Umbach (Paderborn University, Germany) on Automatic Meeting Transcription with Distant Microphones, and Prof. Aryan Kaushik (RakFort, Ireland) on The Interplay of Sensing, AI, ESIT and NTN for 6G Beyond Communications. Their insights envisioned an era where intelligent, adaptive networks enable new possibilities-from smart healthcare to autonomous mobility.


ATC 2025 received 218 submissions, with 117 papers accepted across 24 parallel sessions on 5G/6G networks, signal processing, IoT, electronics, and cybersecurity.
HaUI scholars presented several notable studies, including LORA-MAEJSCC: Masked Autoencoder for Semantic Communications and Enhancing Security of PDNOMA THz Networks, demonstrating the university’s active role in global research dialogue.
Recognizing Excellence

For the first time, the Best Reviewer Awards were presented to honor outstanding peer reviewers for their contributions to academic quality.
With its rich agenda and strong international engagement, ATC 2025 at HaUI successfully fostered collaboration and innovation-reinforcing Vietnam’s growing role in advancing global communication technologies.
