Experiencing University life helps Dinh Lap High School students shape their future paths

Providing high school students with opportunities to experience a real university environment plays a vital role in helping them make informed decisions about their academic and career paths. This perspective was shared by Tran Thi Xuan, Principal of Dinh Lap High School, during a study visit to Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) on January 15, 2026.

The visit brought together more than 200 students from Dinh Lap High School, offering them an opportunity to explore university life firsthand and gain practical insights before making important decisions about their future education.

Welcoming the delegation, Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, introduced HaUI’s educational philosophy and development orientation. He emphasized that the university is committed to creating a modern, learner-centered environment that balances academic knowledge, professional skills, and adaptability - qualities increasingly essential in a rapidly changing labor market.

He encouraged students to actively engage during the visit by learning about academic majors, training pathways, and post-graduation career opportunities. His message to the students was clear and inspiring: to be confident in dreaming big, open to challenges, and courageous in choosing a learning pathway that truly fits their interests and abilities.

As part of the program, Than Thanh Son, Head of the Academic Affairs Office at HaUI, provided detailed information on the university’s 2026 admissions. The session covered key areas such as training disciplines, admission methods, scholarship policies, and future program development, helping students access reliable information in a structured and easy-to-understand manner.

Reflecting on the visit, Principal Tran Thi Xuan expressed her sincere appreciation for the thoughtful reception and practical guidance provided by HaUI’s leadership and faculty. She noted that the experience was especially meaningful for students, as it allowed them to directly observe the university learning environment and gain concrete insights into training programs and career-oriented education.

She also shared her strong confidence in Hanoi University of Industry as a leading institution for high-quality human resource development. As a representative example, she mentioned Luong Lam Kien, a HaUI alumnus who currently teaches Information Technology at Dinh Lap High School. Recognized as an outstanding provincial-level teacher and responsible for all IT-related work at the school, he exemplifies the practical effectiveness and real-world relevance of HaUI’s training.

During the visit, students toured lecture halls, laboratories, and modern practical training workshops across the HaUI campus. Many students shared that the experience helped them gain greater confidence in setting academic goals, clarifying career orientations, and envisioning their educational journeys after high school.
