HaUI honors retired staff for their dedicated contributions

On the afternoon of January 14, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) held a gathering to honor staff members and employees who retired in 2025, recognizing their long-standing contributions to the University’s development.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hong Quan, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University Trade Union, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), together with representatives of management staff, present flowers to honor staff and employees retiring in 2025.

The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hong Quan, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University Trade Union; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector; along with representatives of management staff from various units. At the gathering, the University leadership expressed sincere appreciation for the significant contributions of Nguyen Thi Tho (Faculty of Political Theory and Law), Vu Thi Thu Hong (Finance and Accounting Office), Nguyen Xuan Chung (Vietnam–Japan Center), and Nguyen Tuan Hung (School of Languages and Tourism). Each of them has devoted between 25 and 38 years of service, accompanying the University through different stages of growth and development.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of HaUI, delivered remarks at the event

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector, emphasized the central role of human resources as the University continues to advance comprehensive reforms in governance and infrastructure investment. He affirmed that HaUI’s current achievements and institutional standing are built upon the enduring contributions of many generations of staff. The University leadership also expressed its hope that retired personnel will continue to serve as valuable bridges, sharing their experience and offering insights to support the University’s ongoing development.

Dr. Nguyen Xuan Chung, former Director of the Vietnam–Japan Center

Representing the retired staff, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Chung expressed pride in the University’s current position, particularly its standing among leading multidisciplinary institutions. Drawing from his extensive experience in education, he shared reflections on training in the digital era, emphasizing that regardless of technological advancements, building strong foundational knowledge and fostering logical thinking and reasoning skills must remain a top priority.

The gathering concluded as a meaningful moment of transition between generations, as HaUI moves forward with its Development Strategy for the 2026–2030 period, with a vision toward 2035, aiming to position the University among the top 400 universities in Asia.
