Hanoi University of Industry welcomes delegation from Thu Dau Mot University
On August 14, 2025, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) welcomed a delegation from Thu Dau Mot University (TDMU) for a working session. The meeting served as a meaningful demonstration of both institutions’ strong commitment and concrete actions in pioneering the implementation of national strategies, particularly in digital transformation and innovation.

Speaking at the session, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector of HaUI, emphasized that digital transformation is an irreversible trend and a strategic lever for building a modern, autonomous, and intelligent university. Since 2011, HaUI has developed a comprehensive electronic university management system, integrating nearly 500 administrative activities onto a single platform. This approach enables real-time operational data for leadership, ensuring transparent and effective governance. The use of digital signatures by all staff and the complete digitization of workflows not only enhances efficiency but also marks a fundamental shift in mindset and working methods, affirming HaUI’s determination to lead in constructing a smart university model.

HaUI has taken the lead in establishing a comprehensive digital workplace through its electronic university management system, where all data is seamlessly connected to support swift, informed decision-making by the leadership. The system also delivers a wide range of convenient services for faculty and students via mobile applications. Beyond being a technological tool, it stands as a foundational platform for transforming governance and operational practices in the era of digital transformation and global integration.

Dr. Nguyen Viet Tuyen, Director of the Information Technology Center, presented the QMC-eUni electronic university management system at the working session
At the working session, Dr. Nguyen Viet Tuyen, Director of the Information Technology Center, gave a detailed presentation on the QMC-eUni electronic university management system. Developed following a ‘Top-Down’ model, HaUI’s system ensures seamless integration across all areas, including academic affairs, finance, facilities management and student services, thereby avoiding fragmentation and data silos. Consequently, every process from admissions, class scheduling and grade management to graduation, tuition collection and asset administration has been fully digitalized and automated. This allows the university’s leadership to access real-time data and make timely, well-informed decisions.

Dr. Bui Thanh Khiet, Vice Rector of Thu Dau Mot University, delivered remarks at the working session
On behalf of Thu Dau Mot University, Dr. Bui Thanh Khiet, Vice Rector of the university, expressed profound admiration for HaUI’s long-standing history and remarkable achievements. He shared that TDMU is currently undergoing a comprehensive restructuring process and is developing the project “Digital – Smart – Happy University.” The delegation’s working visit to HaUI was regarded as an important step, providing TDMU with valuable and practical insights into various approaches to digital transformation. Key issues of particular interest to the TDMU delegation included university governance models, best practices in establishing simulation laboratories, and the tripartite cooperation mechanism among the State, universities, and enterprises.
