HaUI and Biel Crystal strengthen cooperation in training and high-tech human resource development

On September 24, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) held a meeting with Biel Crystal Technology Manufacturing Co., Ltd. to discuss cooperation in training, internships, recruitment, and research, with a shared focus on developing a high-quality technical workforce for modern manufacturing.

Industry collaboration is an integral part of HaUI’s approach to developing human resources that meet practical workforce demands. Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice President of HaUI, highlighted the University’s extensive training capacity across mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, automation, robotics, information technology, computer science, and foreign languages. These disciplines are closely aligned with the technological transformation of modern manufacturing. HaUI places emphasis on connecting students with enterprises throughout their education rather than waiting until graduation. Through closer industry engagement, students can gain early exposure to advanced technologies, undertake practical training and internships, and develop professional competencies in line with actual workplace requirements.

Biel Crystal Technology Manufacturing Co., Ltd. specializes in the research, development, and manufacturing of advanced glass products, with highly automated production systems incorporating robotics and smart manufacturing technologies. As the company expands its operations in Vietnam, it plans to recruit approximately 300–400 technical personnel by June 2027, particularly in mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, automation, information technology, and industrial engineering.

In response to these workforce needs, HaUI and Biel Crystal discussed practical areas of cooperation to strengthen the link between academic training and industry requirements. The proposed initiatives include student recruitment programs combined with Chinese-language training and internships at Biel Crystal, where students would work under the guidance of technical staff and gain hands-on experience with production lines, equipment, and manufacturing processes. The two sides also discussed potential cooperation in training and research in smart manufacturing, mechatronics, robotics, laser engineering, and precision machining. In addition, 2+2 and 3+1 training models with higher education institutions in China were introduced as a potential direction for future cooperation, combining academic study with internships and practical experience in industry.

Biel Crystal also contributed VND 50 million to the scholarship fund for HaUI students. The scholarship is intended to encourage high-achieving students in fields of interest to the company, while strengthening engagement with students throughout their academic training, internships, and career development.
