HaUI students explore emerging technologies at SIC Tech Day

On the morning of September 21, Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) organised a technology experience event at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), providing students with opportunities to explore emerging technologies that are shaping the future, including artificial intelligence (AI), big data, the Internet of Things (IoT) and semiconductor technology.

Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice President of Hanoi University of Industry, noted that the event offered an effective approach to introducing emerging technologies through interactive and hands-on experiences. Such activities enabled students to engage directly with new technologies and gain a deeper understanding of their practical applications.

The event featured four main technology experience areas. Students explored artificial intelligence and Galaxy AI features, learned about big data through the SmartThings platform, operated robots through obstacle courses in the IoT area, and used virtual reality technology to explore semiconductor applications and chip manufacturing processes.

A highlight of the event was the workshop “Mastering Technology, Shaping the Future”, which featured practical insights, emerging technology trends and discussions with guest speakers. The session provided students with valuable perspectives on the growing role of technology in education, professional development and everyday life, while offering insights into emerging career opportunities in technology-related fields.

In addition to the technology experience activities, students participated in check-in activities and interactive games, received gifts and joined a prize wheel featuring a Samsung Galaxy Fit3 among the featured prizes.

SIC Tech Day contributed to bringing emerging technologies closer to students and demonstrated the value of university–industry collaboration in enhancing practical learning opportunities. Through such experiential activities, HaUI continues to create opportunities for students to stay abreast of technological developments, strengthen relevant skills and gain greater exposure to businesses and future career pathways.
