11th 5S closing ceremony

To implement the directive of the HaUI Rector’s conclusion in April’s working briefing, the 5S Committee carried out 11th 5S Week last week (April, 25th - 29th/4/2016). The closing ceremony took place on the afternoon of 29/04/2016.

Associate Professor Dr.Tran Duc Quy - Secretary of Party Committee, HaUI Rector, delivered his speech at the ceremony.

With the theme "5S and Workplace Safety", the 11th 5S week witnessed many positive changes such as promoting the improvement in the unit's self-assessment and individual’s autonomy.

Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Vice Rector discussed with students of Faculty of Electrical Engineering on the content and implementation of this activity.

5S has kept expanding in all areas and units; individual’s awareness has been improved which resulted in their responsible and voluntary implementation; the inspection and evaluation also have many innovations, pointing autonomy and improving self-evaluation. According to the 5S Committee, 5S level of performance throughout the school has been improved and enhanced, averaged 79% (78.5% in 10th 5S week). Especially, difference in 5S implementation among campuses and units dropped significantly.

Some units showed improvement this week including Vietnam – Korea center, Center for Skills Assessment & Business Relations, Information – Library center; Faculties of Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Technology, Business Management, and Departments of Educational Inspection, Science and Technology.

Upcoming planning activities:

- Promoting the advocacy to each individuals, students' awareness and responsibility in the implementation of 5S.

- Developing a plan to guide 5S program of Youth Association, Student Council; establishinh new 5S guiding organizations, youth volunteer groups in all areas, especially the dormitory, as well as guiding the traffic safety in the gate of campus 1 and 2, and making training plan for teachers and students in Ha Nam.

- Improving 5S quality in the units, especially in some steps of screening, sorting records, document, etc.

- Developing monthly 5S, enhancing the quality of self-evaluation and improvement of the units, completing the assessment criteria.

- Finding out problems and giving solutions to ensure electrical and fire safety in some local areas.

- Preparing for organizing 12th 5S week in October, 2016.
