Closing ceremony and award ceremony of National Mechanics Olympiad 2017

On the morning of May 20th, 2017, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the one-month National Mechanics Olympiad 2017 took place in Hanoi University of Industry.

Present at the ceremony were representatives of Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Union of Science and Technology Vietnam, leaders, teachers and students from universities in the North of Vietnam competing in the contest.

National Mechanics Olympiad is held annually by Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Mechanics Association, Vietnamese Students’ Association in three regions: the North, the Central and the South. The contest has fueled the passion and efforts in studying mechanics in students of universities and colleges, improved the quality of teaching and learning mechanics as well as discovered and nurtured talents in this field.

For this year contest, Hanoi University of Industry has won 01 third prize in team competition for IT application in principles of machining, 01 second prize in individual competition for IT application in principles of machining, and 04 third prizes for IT application in machining details, IT application in technical mechanics, IT application in principles of machining. The university also receives a certificate of achievement by Minister of Education and Training.

For 29 years since its birth, National Mechanics Olympiad has seen a dramatic increase in the number of competing teams and students and the level of achievement. Generations of students competing in the contest have become professors, doctors and scientists with great achievement not only in scientific research but also in discovering and nurturing young talented individuals.

The 30th National Mechanic Olympiad is to be held in Hanoi University of Construction.
