HaUI supports Hai Phong students in navigating career choices

In late March, Hai Phong became vibrant with a series of university admission and career orientation events for high school students and parents. At Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted (March 21) and Vietnam Maritime University (March 22), the consultation booth of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) emerged as a focal point, where students’ aspirations were actively explored and guided through meaningful dialogue.

Experts from various disciplines at HaUI directly engaged with students and parents, addressing a wide range of questions. Discussions on the future of modern industry were enriched by insights from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Technology, while lecturers from the School of Information and Communications Technology provided clarity on data-driven innovation and artificial intelligence in the digital era.

In the field of electrical and electronic engineering, students gained comprehensive perspectives on smart control systems and green energy. Meanwhile, emerging areas such as advanced materials, biotechnology, and modern manufacturing processes were presented by the Faculty of Chemical Technology, enabling students to better understand current industry trends. Beyond engineering, HaUI presented a comprehensive academic ecosystem spanning economics, languages, and fashion design. The School of Languages and Tourism guided students toward becoming global citizens in international working environments, while the School of Economics addressed issues related to business operations, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation. The Faculty of Garment Technology and Fashion Design helped students translate creative passions into practical career pathways.

Through direct interactions at the consultation booths, many students were able to clarify their career pathways, bridging the gap between personal interests and real-world opportunities. According to Dr. Than Thanh Son, HaUI places strong emphasis on in-depth counseling to help students accurately identify their core competencies and make well-informed decisions.

In 2026, Hanoi University of Industry plans to enroll 8,300 students across 72 academic programs, including 15 English-taught programs and five new disciplines aligned with high-quality workforce demands, namely Biotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductor Engineering, Materials Technology, and Automotive and New Energy Engineering.

From an initial passion for assembling basic electrical circuits, many students were able to identify clear development pathways toward intelligent control systems through career guidance provided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Manh Kha, Principal of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Research insights and real-world stories on advanced materials and biotechnology shared by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Mai Huong, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Technology, have inspired many students to pursue careers in scientific research.

Driven by a passion for coding and a strong aspiration to develop artificial intelligence (AI) applications, many high school students aspiring to become IT engineers attentively engaged with the guidance provided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Son, Vice Principal of the School of Information and Communications Technology.

Direct interactions at the consultation booths helped clarify the pathway from academic study to professional practice, enabling students to identify the intersection between their personal passions and evolving societal demands. According to Dr. Than Thanh Son, Head of Academic Affairs Department at HaUI, the university places strong emphasis on in-depth counseling to help each student accurately identify their core competencies and make well-informed decisions.

In 2026, Hanoi University of Industry plans to enroll 8,300 students across 72 academic programs, including 15 English-taught programs and five newly introduced programs designed to meet the demand for high-quality human resources, namely Biotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductor Engineering, Materials Technology, and Automotive and New Energy Engineering.

The university applies multiple admission methods, including:

Method 1: Direct admission in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Method 2: Admission based on awards in provincial or municipal academic competitions, or possession of international certificates, combined with high school academic performance.

Method 3: Admission based on the results of the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination.

Method 4: Admission based on the results of the 2026 High School Competency Assessment Test organized by Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Method 5: Admission based on the results of the 2026 Thinking Skills Assessment Test organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
