As scientific research and innovation continue to gain momentum, intellectual property (IP) protection has become increasingly important in transforming research outcomes into valuable assets and facilitating technology transfer. To strengthen capacity in patent registration and protection, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) organized a training workshop on “Patent Protection in Engineering, Natural Sciences and Technology” for the lecturers, researchers, and learners.

For many families, health monitoring still relies on occasional measurements. Blood pressure monitors, thermometers and smart scales provide individual readings at a given point in time, but offer limited insight into how health indicators change over time. The grand finale of the Digital Era Creative Innovation Competition 2026 (DECIC 2026) marked the culmination of an intense journey, bringing together the top 6 teams selected from 63 tech-forward groups across Vietnamese universities. Far from being a mere academic exercise, this year's competition spotlighted a powerful shift in student research: turning real-world friction points into the ultimate launchpad for breakthrough ideas.

Artificial intelligence is increasingly transforming biomedical research, creating new opportunities for collaboration across disciplines. Embracing this trend, five students from the English-taught Information Technology program at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) ventured beyond the traditional boundaries of computer science to investigate a biomedical challenge. Their study on deep learning for microbe–drug association prediction has been accepted for publication in Intelligence-Based Medicine, a Scopus Q2 journal.
