Mini Robot Innovation 2025: Inspiring future engineers
Hundreds of students from eight high schools and students from five universities gathered at the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry, to visit the facilities and participate in the "Mini Robot Innovation" competition. This event was not only an extracurricular activity but also a valuable career-orientation experience, allowing high school and university students to get closer to the university’s modern engineering training environment and its strengths in robotics and automation.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Quách Đức Cường, Vice Principal of the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at HaUI, extended a warm welcome to the teachers, high school students, and university students in attendance. He also provided an overview of the school’s key training programs in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, and Microelectronics. With a well-invested infrastructure, modern laboratories, and practical workshops, students have ample opportunities to develop their skills, enhance creative thinking, and participate in numerous academic competitions, with a particular strength in mini robot contests.

The Mini Robot Innovation Competition provides a platform for high school and university students to interact and learn from one another. It offers an opportunity to test their creative thinking, engineering design, programming skills, and teamwork abilities. Each team, with its robot and unique competition strategy, tells a story of passion, intelligence, and perseverance. The competition also serves as an avenue for students to ignite their interest in research, helping to bridge the gap between education, scientific investigation, and practical application.

- First Prize: Cao Bang Specialized High School team
- Second Prize: Yen My High School (Hung Yen) team
- Third Prize: Son La Specialized High School team
- Creativity and Promising Award: Hung Vuong Specialized High School (Phu Tho) teams
University Category:
- First Prize: Phenikaa University team
- Second Prize: Hanoi University of Science and Technology team
- Third Prize: University of Economics – Technology for Industries team
- Creativity and Promising Award: Two teams from Hanoi University of Industry

Prior to the competition, hundreds of specialized high school students from Son La, Vinh Phuc, Ninh Binh, Cao Bang, Hung Yen, Hanoi, and other provinces had the opportunity to visit the classrooms, laboratories, practical training and automation workshops, simulated production lines, and research products at the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

The integrated approach of “facility tours – career exploration – mini robot competitions” has emerged as a signature feature of the enrollment and career-orientation initiatives at the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, HaUI. Through this model, students not only gain practical, hands-on experience but also develop a deeper understanding of their chosen fields, while witnessing the university’s strengths in practice-oriented training, research, and highly applicable mini robot competitions. Such experiences empower students to make confident choices on their path to becoming future engineers in the digital era.
