IT Festival - AI Horizon 2025: Where technology meets aspiration and creativity

The IT Festival - AI Horizon 2025, organized by the School of Information and Communications Technology (SICT) at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), concluded its month-long series of events with a Gala ceremony on the evening of December 26. Featuring 11 distinct competitions ranging from AI Tank (tactical algorithms) and I-Sec (system security) to the Prompt Challenge, the festival demonstrated the adaptability of the next generation of tech talent in meeting the rigorous demands of the Artificial Intelligence age.

Dr. Dang Trong Hop, Principal of SICT, highlighted how AI is fundamentally reshaping learning and working methodologies. In response, this year’s festival was designed with AI as its core theme, spanning data, hardware, algorithms, startups, and digital entertainment. Competitions such as AI Assistant, AI Creative, and AI Game Jam challenged students to solve real-world problems by blending logical reasoning with aesthetic creativity.

The event underscored the critical link between academia and industry. Mr. Nguyen Van Hai from MISA Joint Stock Company spoke on the importance of corporate-university collaboration in developing high-quality human resources. Supported by strategic partners including Samsung R&D, FPT Software, and MISA, the festival provided students with practical challenges and direct access to high-level career opportunities.

The Gala also highlighted the vibrant student culture at HaUI. The SICT's Got Talent segment served as a platform for artistic expression, with the team "Tứ Bảo Sắc Hương" taking the top prize. The performances reflected the university’s commitment to comprehensive education, fostering students who are not only technically proficient but also culturally enriched. HaUI remains dedicated to the mission of "Technology – Aspiration – Creation," striving to build a modern academic environment that contributes to the socio-economic development of Hanoi and Vietnam.
