HaUI collaborates with Hanoi CDC to strengthen school health and epidemic prevention
On May 29, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) hosted a crucial meeting with a delegation from the Hanoi Center for Disease Control (CDC). The session, presided over by Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector, centered on enhancing school health conditions and bolstering disease prevention protocols across its campuses.

Speaking at the meeting,Dr. Nguyen Van Thien emphasized the paramount importance of campus health initiatives. "With three campuses spanning over 50 hectares, serving more than 32,000 students and trainees, and supported by nearly 1,500 lecturers and staff, HaUI has consistently prioritized comprehensive health care and robust disease prevention as core responsibilities," he stated. He affirmed HaUI's proactive approach, including actively seeking solutions, collaborating closely with local health authorities, and readily integrating feedback to continuously refine its public health and school healthcare strategies.

At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Van Luoi, MD, Head of HaUI's Medical Center, delivered a comprehensive report on 2024-2025 school health operations and outlined strategic directions for 2025-2026. The report highlighted significant achievements: HaUI's Medical Stations operate efficiently across all three campuses, ensuring full equipment and a dedicated 14-member medical team on call 24/7. Regular health check-ups, meticulous environmental sanitation, and strict food safety protocols are maintained across the three canteens, complemented by diverse health communication and counseling programs.
To proactively manage complex public health situations, HaUI has established three dedicated steering committees: the Primary Healthcare Steering Committee, the Disease Prevention and Control Steering Committee, and the Food Safety and Hygiene Steering Committee. Guided closely by the Board of Rectors, these committees comprehensively coordinate and actively implement preventive measures. This includes consistently updating health information, intensifying sanitation and disinfection efforts, conducting mosquito eradication sprays, and maintaining seamless collaboration with the Bac Tu Liem District Medical Center and the Hanoi CDC. These concerted efforts ensure the safest possible learning and working environment throughout HaUI.

Dr. Chu Thi Chung, MD, who led the Hanoi CDC delegation, acknowledged HaUI's extensive efforts and highly commended the effective strategies and outcomes achieved in its school healthcare operations. The delegation also shared valuable expertise and provided constructive recommendations. These suggestions included optimizing specific sanitation procedures and further diversifying interactive health communication methods to enhance overall effectiveness.
Responding to the feedback from the oversight delegation, HaUI's leadership reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to continued investment and diligent oversight. The goal is to further elevate the quality of health services for all faculty, staff, and students. The University firmly considers fostering a safe and healthy educational environment a top priority, recognizing its vital contribution to the holistic development of its learners and the sustained strength of HaUI.
