Project appraisal meeting at institutional level in Hai Duong in 2016

On December 26th, 2016, the appraisal committee meeting of the project “Building the automatic monitoring system of environmental parameters of wastewater in industrial zones in Hai Duong using GSM / GPRS” was organized at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Hai Duong province. The scientific research, lead by Dr. Trinh Trong Chuong, was conducted with the cooperation between Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Hai Duong and HaUI Institute of Technology (under University of Hanoi). It attracts special attention from the local authorities and people because according to an estimate by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, with 6/8 industrial parks, 30/38 industrial clusters and 4550 active businesses in Hai Duong, the province's economic growth will lead to increasing releases of waste, particularly during the period of 2015 to 2020,.

Mr. Vu Ngoc Long, provincial commissioners - Director of Natural Resources and Environment Department – acted as the chairman of the meeting. Mr. Pham Van Binh - Director of Provincial Science and Technology, representatives of the provincial People's Committee, the Office of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, representatives of local departments and a large number of enterprises in the province together with the press agencies of Hai Duong participated in the meeting.

Dr. Trong Trinh Chuong reported the results of implementing the project

Dr. Trinh Trong Chuong, on behalf of the team, presented a summary report of the implementation results. Accordingly, the team of Hanoi University of Industry has successfully completed the contents based on the order of the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Duong province and the Department of Resources and Environment of Hai Duong. The products include:

- Equipment to collect data on wastewater of the industrial zones (installed at 3 IZ: Phuc Dien, Tan Truong and Nam Sach)

- The software displaying parameter results obtained from automatic monitoring stations (installed at the center of environmental monitoring, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of the province)

- Solar panel system (installed at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment in the province)

All products of the project, presented by the team in the conference, was highly appreciated and accepted by the committee and should be completed for provincial acceptance in the coming time. From these results, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Duong province proposed to develop the products, and add some integrated monitoring functions to make the system be diversified, unified and completed.

After the meeting, the participants visited the data collection system in Phuc Dien Industrial Park and Tan Truong in Hai Duong.
