Japanese Vice Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare visits HaUI

On 24th May, 2010, the Vice Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan, H.E Toshiaki Ohta, paid a working visit to HaUI.

Accompanying the Vice Minister were Mr. Chihoko Asada – Head of International Planning Department, Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW), Mr. Kaneko – International affairs Department, MHLW, Mr. Tsuno Motonor - Chief Representative of JICA Vietnam office, Mr. Hayashida Takayuki – Senior project formulation advisor of JICA Vietnam office.

Receiving the Vice Minister were Mr. Hoang Van Dien, Rector of HaUI, Mr. Ha Xuan Quang, Vice Rector of HaUI, Mr. Junichi Mori, JICA expert of JICA – HaUI project, and leaders of Administrative Department, International cooperation Department, Training Department, Faculty of Automobile Technology, Vietnam-Japan Center, LETCO, and others.

On behalf of HaUI, the Rector presented some general information about establishment and development history of HaUI, also reviewed the great contribution made by Japanese Government and people to the development of HaUI during the past time.

Mr. Toshiaki Ohta highly appreciated the high esteem treatment from HaUI and expressed his expectation to understand more about current partnership situation between educational institutions and enterprises, and then find measures for fruitful support to related parties.

In regard of the Project for Human Resource Development of Technicians at HaUI (HaUI – JICA project), which is funded by ODA fund of Japanese Government, and the Counterpart training in Japan in June, 2010, the Vice Minister committed to make close direction so that JICA will implement the activities smoothly and effectively.

After that, the Vice Minister visited training facilities of VJC, HaUI-Honhai Technical training center, Toyota Educational Program for Body and Paint. He also talked with instructors and students at Japanese training center of LETCO under HaUI. He was impressed by and highly appreciated the serious working and studying attitude of lecturers and students of HaUI, especially of VJC.
