On 4 June 2012, 30 VJC students started eight-week internship program in Toho Vietnam Co., Ltd, a leading Japanese manufacturer of high precision molds. They were selected from the students who joined the study tour in Toho in April.

Toho provided students with the comprehensive internship program which started from orientation and then class-room lectures on appropriate working behaviors and basics of molds. After the test to measure basic knowledge and characteristics, students were assigned to various positions such as operation of machining centers, EDM/Wire-cut, and mold assembly. They learned practical skills through on-the-job training. On 28 June, VJC lecturers and JICA experts visited Toho in order to observe the internship programs and listen to comments from managers of Toho and VJC interns. On 3 August as the last day of internship, VJC students made group presentation on what they learned through the internship. After the internship program, Toho recruited 15 students who showed good performance. They started working for Toho from 20 Sept. 2012.
